Machine Translation
Post-editing
Do you need to translate large volumes of text in a relatively short time, and want your translations to be correct in terms of meaning? Machine translation post-editing (MTPE) may be your solution, provided your texts are intended to be read in-house and the terminology is relatively standardised. MTPE is not suitable for documents intended for publication or with very specific terminology: either the post-edited machine translation will not have a sufficiently polished style and will therefore tarnish your company’s image, or the stylistic or terminological corrections required will be too extensive and the working time will then be greater than that which would have been spent on a traditional translation.
Editing
As a translator, I spend a lot of my working time revising translations. I check that the translation faithfully reflects the meaning of the original document and also make sure that the text in itself is correct. There must be no spelling, grammar or syntax mistake, the vocabulary must be accurate and the language register appropriate, the whole text must be logic and consistent and flow well.
That’s why I also offer editing services for texts written in French. Thanks to my expertise in the French language, my keen eye for detail, a good general knowledge, and with the support of specific software, I detect all typos, spelling and grammar mistakes, clumsy sentences, inaccuracies, and inconsistencies.
